I can’t believe the 4th of July is almost here! Over the last few weeks, I’ve been gathering up some decor, and I’m excited to share my favorite finds with you.
First up is the Dollar Spot at Target.
I love the cardboard buckets, and they would be perfect filled with 4th favors for kids. And speaking of favors, those firecracker pens and star erasers are a must – so fun!
Next, since the Dollar Spot has really morphed into the $1-$5 spot, here are my favorite Three-Dollar Spot finds 🙂
I can’t wait to use the ceramic star dishes on my patriotic table! And the banner kit and pinwheel kit will be fun to put together and incorporate into my decor – maybe hanging on the fireplace? I’m not really sure what I’ll do with the string lights, but they are red and blue, so I couldn’t resist.
My next stop was Michael’s and I’m loving their entire 4th of July collection this year. Here’s what I walked away with.
I’m a sucker for a great spool of ribbon and these two are no exception. I also really like the wooden USA hanger, and I’m planning to incorporate it into my mantle design. I love the variety of textures in the garland, and I think I’ll use that either on the mantle or on my wreath.
My next 4th of July essential is festive fabric, and I always rely on JoAnn’s for that! Here’s what I found.
I’ve had a couple of these fabrics for a few years (they are all still available!), and they’ve held up really well after washing and drying. I use them as table covers or a table runner, or I cut strips to use on a wreath – so many options.
My final stop was online – I went to Sweet Estelle to pick up some patriotic baking supplies and beverage supplies.
I’ve used these sprinkles in the past, and I love the variety available on the site. I always seem to keep baker’s twine on hand for a variety of purposes, and a party host can never have too many paper straws 🙂
I’m also placing an order with one of my other favorite online shops – Swoozies! Here’s their Fourth of July Collection – I love their stadium cup selection for the 4th! And they have some great garlands and pinwheels, too. I really like the red and white striped table runner, and it would look so pretty with the blue star placemats layered on top and then some white hydrangeas to finish it off.
Since it’s an election year, I know I’ll be able to get a good use out of all of these items again in November, so I’m really stocking up.
Party on!
