I’ve been gearing up for an Olympics Opening Ceremony party tomorrow night, and today I’m talking decor! If you missed my earlier posts, you can learn about my Olympic Torch Cupcakes here, and an Olympic Photo Prop here.
For the last Summer Olympics, I had traveled to my parents’ cabin, so my space was limited. In addition to the themed food, I brought photo booth props that were so fun!
This time, since the party is local, I could be a bit more elaborate with the decor. I went with my old standard, Shop Sweet Lulu, for most of the decor, and like usual they did not disappoint!
I got the plates, balloons, glass milk jars, and tassel garland from Shop Sweet Lulu. This was the first time I had ordered the confetti balloons and it will not be the last! You can select the colors of confetti you want for the inside and they come pre-filled. This would also be easy to do yourself to add some pizzazz to your own balloons, too. I think they’re so fun!
The globe was a lucky find from Target, as was the gold glitter cutlery, that I also used at my Pineapple Party! I also got the gold confetti from Target – I love incorporating the gold dots since they look like medals. I pulled out three of my coordinating glassybaby to finish off the look (Seattle Sunset, True Blue, and Grace).
I’m so excited for tomorrow night! Come back tomorrow for my favorite Olympic-themed cocktail ideas!
Party on!
Julie
