This week, my blog turns one, and I’m celebrating that milestone with five days of giveaways!! Yesterday, I blogged about a balloon wreath I made for the birthday and talked about one of my favorite party shops, Shop Sweet Lulu!
I’m excited to announce the winner of the $50 gift certificate to Shop Sweet Lulu to stock up on party supplies!
Congrats, Marisa!
I emailed you this morning. You have 24 hours to claim your prize.
Today is all about one of my favorite things, rosé! It is rosé season, and what better way to celebrate that than with something I discovered while in New York last week, FROSÉ!
I loved it so much that I decided to try and recreate it at home. It’s very simple, but it does take time to make, and that makes it that much more delicious in the end! 🙂
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 750 mL of frozen rosé (that’s what’s in the pan pictured above. I poured the entire bottle of rosé into the pan and let it freeze for about six hours. It won’t ever totally freeze because of the alcohol, but it’ll become slushy, and that’s what you want).
- 1/2 cup Simple Syrup (if you don’t have this on hand, boil a 1/2 cup of sugar and a 1/2 cup of water until the sugar is totally dissolved and TA DA! You have simple syrup!)
- 5 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 cups quartered and hulled strawberries
First up, like I mentioned above, I froze the rosé.
On about hour five, I started to get everything else prepped. I quartered my strawberries, and then brought my simple syrup to a boil (if you make your own, just leave it boiling).
Once it was boiling, I removed it from the heat and added my quartered strawberries. I let those sit in the hot syrup for about thirty minutes, then strained the liquid into a measuring cup and discarded the strawberries. I chilled the liquid until it was cold (about thirty minutes).
Next up, I scraped the rosé into my blender, then added the lemon juice, strawberry syrup, and a cup of ice. I puréed it until it was smooth.
Once it was ready, I put the blender jar into the freezer to let the mixture thicken. After about 20 minutes, I pulled the mixture back out, blended it again, and then poured it into the glasses to serve and enjoy! It is so refreshing and delicious! This will definitely be a cocktail I make on repeat this summer.
And since today is all about frosé, I thought it only appropriate that my giveaway be about frosé/rosé, too! While thinking about my favorite rosé items, I was thinking of my affinity for rose gold and the idea was born! Today’s giveaway features three of my favorite rosé/rose gold items!
The sugarfina bento box with cocktail treats, including rosé gummy bears is one of my favorites! I also included my favorite set of rose gold and tassel wine charms, and my favorite rose gold nail polish. All three items are great summer treats and would be perfect for a night in with girlfriends, with a pitcher full of frosé, too, of course!
