Did someone say sangria? That’s one of those words that I hear and my ears perk up. How about you?? I LOVE sangria! Especially in the summer. And spring. And fall. And winter. 😉
So, anyway, I think a Sangria Bar is the perfect addition to any party because you can totally customize it and make options for those who don’t drink alcohol, too!
For my Sangria Bar, I created a red, white, and just juice sangria. Here are my recipes…
These recipes make about 5 to 6 cups of each sangria.
Red Sangria
- One full bottle of dry red wine (I like to use Cabernet or Merlot)
- 1/2 cup of brandy
- 2 cups orange juice
- Slices of oranges, lemons, and limes
White Sangria
- One full bottle of white wine (I like to use something bright and crisp, like Pinot Grigio)
- 1/2 cup orange liquer
- 2 cups peach nectar
- Slices of oranges, lemons, and limes
Just Juice Sangria
- 3 cups orange juice
- 1 cup grape juice
- 1 cup peach nectar
- Slices of oranges, lemons, limes
For all Sangrias
- Fruit to top sangria with (strawberries, blackberries, peaches)
- Tonic Water (or Sprite!)
Slice up all the fruit to prep for your bar and to put into the sangrias. Then, mix the sangrias and let them sit in the fridge for a few hours or overnight – the longer they sit, the more flavorful they’ll be. I filled carafes with sangria and fruit, then stored the extras in measuring cups in the fridge for refilling during the party.
Once everything was prepped and ready, it was time to build up the bar. I used the same black and white striped backdrop I had used for yesterday’s terrarium bar. I love the black and white stripe because I feel like it’s so bold and versatile.
I also got out my mini chalkboard and black paper to make tags. (Quick tip I learned from Chelsea – if you have a chalkboard and find that you can’t ever get it clean, use Bab-O Easy Scrub to wipe it down and it’ll look brand new!)
Once I had all my decor ready to go, IÂ started adding everything in.
The brightly colored cups, pink straws, napkins, and the metal bar sign were all found in the Target Dollar Spot! It is SPOT on for early summer! 🙂 My mini chalkboard and carafes are also from Target. I also added some pink hydrangeas and my favorite Lily Pulitzer candle to the bar for more pops of color.
The Sangria Bar will definitely be a go-to for summer entertaining, and I’m excited to change it up with new sangria recipes each time. Do you have any favorites? Please let me know, I’m always excited to try a new one!
Party on!
