Fri-YAY!! I have been looking forward to this weekend for a long time, because I get to head up to Canada tomorrow to pick up these two after their two week Alaska adventure/cruise…
It sounds like they have been having the best time, and I’m excited for their fun to continue with a week in Washington! We’re visiting Cascade National Park, Olympic National Park, wine tasting, and shopping. I LOVE having my parents in town, so that’s definitely favorite number one this week!!
I’ve had a lot of fun over the last few weeks reflecting on my big Europe trip this summer, and this week it has been all about Iceland. My next favorite is my blog post all about the time I spent in Iceland’s capital, Reykjavík. That city is so charming and so full of life! I just loved it there! Read that post here.
Another favorite this week was getting to have a little taste of Iceland back home, with my Icelandic Happy Hour, featuring some delicious Icelandic liqueurs. Get those recipes here.
Remembering all of our day trips in Iceland is definitely another favorite this week. What an experience each adventure was!! I shared those details here.
And because I feel like these cuties deserve to be a favorite of their own – I just LOVED getting to meet Icelandic horses while were were venturing around the country.
Iceland does not allow horses to be brought in from anywhere, so the breed of horses in Iceland is truly unique to the country. These horses are smaller than the horses we’re used to seeing in the states, about the size of a pony. They are just as friendly as can be, and they are everywhere along the countryside of Iceland. Aren’t they just the cutest?!? Definitely worthy of their own spot on my favorites list this week, right?! 🙂
Thanks for following along as I blogged all about my time in Europe. It was definitely the trip of a lifetime, and I’m so glad I was able to help make that dream a reality for my troop. If you want to read about the rest of our trip, you can check out my Italy post here, my Paris post here, and my London post here.
Next week, I’m back to regularly scheduled blogging with Make It Monday, Tasty Tuesday, and Friday Favorites, so I hope you’ll check it out!
Have a great weekend, and party on!

Do you ever sit still and rest? You are always on the go – so much fun though!!!
