It’s been a fun week around here, and I’m excited to share another edition of Friday Favorites!
My first favorite this week is the pillow I made just in time for Halloween! I love the Haunted Mansion at Disney World, and this pillow pays tribute to that. Best of all – it was super easy, and I’ll definitely be creating more pillows with bold typography for future holidays.
Get the details here.
Another favorite this week was all the fun we had on Halloween night! Last year it was rainy and cold and we had 142 trick-or-treaters. This year, it was mild and clear and we had 334!! Yes, that’s right. 334. Our town is has many rural areas, so I think all those residents come into the downtown area where we live to trick-or-treat. It was non-stop from about 5:45 until we ran out of candy around 8:00. We had so much fun!
I bought my boo shirt here, and found my ghost hat here.
Speaking of Halloween, I found this fun graphic about pairing wine with Halloween candy, and it is another favorite this week.
Isn’t it so fun?! We don’t have any leftover candy, but maybe I should go buy a bag so I can do a wine pairing. Or maybe I’ll just drink the wine. Either way 😉
My next favorite this week was reminiscing about this delicious cake we had to celebrate my dad’s birthday. He turned 70 yesterday, and I was so happy we got to celebrate when he and my mom were in town in September.
Such a pretty cake, right? It’s a chocolate cake with mint chocolate chip butter cream. And since mint chocolate chip ice cream is my dad’s favorite, I knew this cake would be a hit – and he loved it!
Yesterday, I shared a festive cocktail that will be perfect all month – the Pumpkin Mule. It features an easy, homemade pumpkin spice syrup and it is so good – definitely a favorite!
Get the recipe here.
This weekend one of my sorority sisters is getting married! I’m so excited to celebrate her and spend the weekend with sisters!
I hope you have some fun plans this weekend, too!
Party on!

I love your ghost costume! So cute.
Also, that graphic is the best. Wine > beer.
