Fri-YAY!! How can a short week feel longer than a regular week?! I’m not really sure, but nevertheless, I’m excited for the weekend!
This week on the blog, I’ve been celebrating the Pantone Color of the Year for 2018 – Ultra Violet! My favorites this week are centered around that beautiful blueish purple hue.
My first favorite is the ultra violet wreath I created for our front door. Ultra violet is a cooler purple than it is warm, so I think it’s the perfect wintery wreath.
Read all about it here.
My next favorite is the ultra violet smoothie bowl I created for Tasty Tuesday. I used blackberries and blueberries to get the perfect ultra violet color.
It’s as delicious as it is pretty! Get the recipe here.
On Instagram this week, one of my favorite photographers, Gray Malin, also celebrated ultra violet by sharing this beachy print.
So great, right? I just love his work – definitely a favorite!
Another favorite is seeing all the ultra violet home decor and fashion lately. Here’s a collection of some of my favorite items.

My final favorite this week is the mantle makeover I did to incorporate ultra violet into our own home decor. I used some purple flowers, my purple-hued glassybaby votives, and a few additional candle holders (the purple ones are from Target’s Dollar Spot and the mercury glass ones are from BHLDN).
I’m loving all the varying shades of purple and the simplicity of it!
Thanks for celebrating Ultra Violet with me this week!
Party on!
