Tablescape Tuesday: Texas Tech

It’s my first “Tablescape Tuesday” blog post today, and I’m really excited that it features my favorite team, Texas Tech! I got the idea for a “Tablescape Tuesday” from one of my favorite bloggers, Pizzazzerie.

I’m a huge fan of March Madness, and especially this year since Texas Tech is in the tourney. Texas Tech received a #3 seed, and I can’t wait to cheer them on in their first game this Thursday!!

In preparation for Thursday, I’ve been gathering all my red and black party goods, along with some of my basketball party supplies from last year’s March Madness party (get those details here).

I first layered on some white and black polka dot wrapping paper as my base. Then, I used some tassel fringe (from Shop Sweet Lulu) as a border. I love how it mimics pom poms – perfect for cheering on the Red Raiders!

I set out my Texas Tech plates and put some black utensils in my Texas Tech cup. For drinks, I filled some glass flip-top bottles with cranberry juice (it has to be red, of course!). This can be enjoyed as is, or people can add some vodka if they want.

I set out my Texas Tech platter and cake plates, which will be perfect for a potluck of game-time appetizers.

At the center of the table, I put some red and gray flowers into a black vase. Then, I sprinkled some basketball candies all over the table as “confetti.” I also added my black felt letterboard and glitter Double T!

I printed off some brackets (find my exact copy here), and set out some red and black pens for guests to fill out their brackets when they arrive.
