Our Brunch Wedding Reception was such a fun way to end the Wedding Weekend. We loved being surrounded by so many treasured friends and family.
The day started early, as Chelsea and I headed to the Fremont Foundry where we unloaded all the decorations and did some initial set-up of the space before it was time to have our hair done.
After our hair was done and we were dressed, we headed to the roof of the Foundry with our photographer for some photos. It was another bluebird November day, so she got some great captures in the sunshine.
We headed back downstairs just before guests started to arrive, and loved getting to greet everyone.
Guests sipped on coffee and cocktails and enjoyed some jazz music. We also took this opportunity to take some group photos with family, framily, my Girl Scout friends, and my Kappa Delta sisters.
My brother served as the emcee for us, and at around 11:45, he welcomed everyone and then introduced Chelsea and me. We thanked everyone for being there and then introduced our officiant who did a recap of the ceremony day.
After the recap, it was time for brunch! Brunch was served buffet style, so while people waited their turn, they enjoyed more cocktails and music, caught up with old friends, and took a turn in the photo booth.
As the last of our guests got a plate full of food and found their seats, it was time for speeches. Both of our dads gave a speech, then each of our best friends (Chelsea and her bestie happened to be twinning – no surprise there!), and wrapped up with a speech from Chelsea’s middle brother and my brother.
Check out the speeches on YouTube below…

After the speeches, we took a large group photo, then enjoyed more mingling and music.
A short while later, it was time to cut the cake and have donuts! It was a delicious way to end the reception, and we said our goodbyes shortly after.
We will be forever grateful to everyone who made the trip to Seattle to celebrate with us – and also grateful for those who tried to get here to surprise us but couldn’t due to a cancelled flight (I’m looking at you, Courtney. Love you sister!).
Thanks for following along as we reminisced this week! If you missed my other posts, check out our ceremony decor here, our ceremony events here, and our reception decor here.
Party on!
