There’s really no theme to this week’s Friday Favorites – it’s just a list of my favorite things that happened since last Friday. It’s been a busy and fun week!!
First up was my Olympics Opening Ceremonies Party! It was a hit, particularly with three seven-year-olds who really got into the Olympic spirit! There’s a future swimmer, dog sled racer, and basketball star in that trio.
After the party was over, I redecorated my mantle so we could enjoy the party decor throughout the Olympics.
My next favorite was having my sorority pledge sister, Dayme, in town for a few days! She flew out to install her design plan for the formal living room makeover in the KΔ house at WSU. You can read the full story on Dayme’s blog and here’s a sneak peek. Dayme made a beautiful transformation happen!
On Tuesday, while Dayme was wrapping things up with the contractors, I got to spend some time with the KΔ Council in their fall planning retreat – my next favorite! Each year, I come up with a theme for the retreat and this year it was PIZZA (You can read about last year’s theme – flamingos – here).
It was such a fun theme to put together, and the girls really seemed to enjoy it.
Here’s a rundown of where I got what:
Party City: gold letter balloons
Shop Sweet Lulu: plates, tassle banner, and pinwheels
Shopbop: pizza float, pizza blanket, and pizza water bottle
Nordstrom: Kate Spade earrings (they’re gold, so I said they look like pizza crust – it’s true right?! ;))
I know these girls are going to have a great semester, and I can’t wait to see all they’ll accomplish!
Last night, I got to enjoy one of my favorite things about summer – our local farmer’s market! Dahlias are in abundance at the market right now, so I picked up a bouquet along with some other treats. I love walking through downtown as we head to the market, and I love that Penny gets to come along, too!
And my final favorite is being back at home for rest of the month! I’m looking forward to wrapping up summer with patio dinners at our favorite local restaurant, a couple outdoor concerts, and lots of time with Penny!
Have a great weekend!
