Tasty Tuesday: Tasting Room

Friday afternoon I found myself out of wine, and I kid you not the UPS delivery man arrived as I was getting ready to head out the door to restock and he had my Tasting Room shipment. Talk about perfect timing!

I first heard about Tasting Room from a friend, and I was excited to give it a try. The general idea is you sign up and answer a few questions for your wine profile, then Tasting Room will send you a tasting kit with 6 mini bottles of wine. You rate the wines, and then get a shipment of wine customized to your taste. And the great part is for every shipment you can decide whether you’d like whites, reds, or a combo, how many bottles, and when you want to receive them.

So, I opened my Tasting Room box to discover two white wines and four red wines – all of the wines were new to me, so I was really excited to give them each a try.

After reading the instructions, I got everything set up and it was time to start the tasting (I was excited to use my new gold dot wine glasses for the tasting)!

I logged-in to the Tasting Room site and it guided me through the tasting. I was asked to compare the wines and rate them as I went. First up was whites.

Now I was ready for the red wines.

Once I was done tasting and rating my wines, my wine profile was built and customized to my tastes.

My wine shipment was scheduled to go out the next day, and I selected the 6-bottle shipment. I had the option to preview all the wines that would be included in my shipment and replace any I didn’t want to receive. When I receive my shipment, I’ll have the opportunity to rate the wines to continue to develop my profile.

I really loved this, and it’s a great way to try new wines that match my tastes. If you’re interested, click here to get your own FREE Wine Tasting kit. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Party on!
