My Harvest Brunch is just a week away, and after brunch my girls and I are going to head to the Pumpkin Patch! Since we’ll be working our way through the corn maze and posing for tons of pictures, I figured a tasty snack will be necessary for our adventures!
I was inspired to create this Autumn Trail mix after reading one of my favorite blogs. As you’ll see there and as you’ll see here, there’s no right or wrong way to put together this tasty treat. Just gather a bunch of your favorite snack foods, mix them together, find a fun fall container and you’re set!
Reese’s Puffs cereal
White Chocolate Pretzels
Mallow Creme Pumpkins
Reese’s mini Peanut Butter Cups
Peanut Putter Chips
I mixed about two cups of each of the above ingredients and it made a TON of trail mix. We’ll be munching on this stuff all week and I still had plenty to fill some jars for the party!
I found these great jars in the Dollar Spot at Target and I bought them out. I think they’re perfect for fall. They’d be cute filled with some fun fall favors like a fall manicure kit with a couple bottles of fall-inspired nail polish, a nail file, and a fall hand sanitizer. Or you could turn it into an apple cider kit with some cider mulling spices, cinnamon sticks, and pumpkin marshmallows. The possibilities are endless! For my purposes, I filled them with the trail mix and they’ll be among the many treats my girls will take home with them from the Harvest Brunch.
I also plan to have some trail mix out for munching as my guests arrive and these plastic leaf dishes will be the perfect serving vessels. I found these beauties in a variety of colors at Dollar Tree (yes, that’s right!!).
And here’s everything on display and ready to party. The fact that the jars and the leaf tray match is one of those happy accidents that I love!
I’ve bagged up some trail mix because Chelsea and I are headed on a little road trip to celebrate my 35th (what?!?) birthday today! Keep up with our fun on Instagram and I’ll see you back here Friday.
