Friday Favorites: Puppy PAWty

I’ve been sharing all week the details of a special Puppy PAWty we hosted last weekend to celebrate one year with our favorite puppy, Penny, and I’m excited to highlight some of my favorite things about that special day!

Of course my first favorite is the pup herself! It’s been such a blessing to have her in our lives the past year. We sleep a little less but have a whole lot more fun with her around! Here are some of my favorite pics from her first year:

My next favorite is the invitations we sent for the PAWty! I found these invites on Minted, and I love that they’re totally customizable. Plus, they address the envelopes for free, and the addressing matches the invitation, which in my mind equals perfection! Continue reading

Puppy PAWty Decor

I’ve had so much fun blogging this week about Penny’s PAWty! If you missed my previous posts, you can read about the pawty crafts here and the pawty treats here.

Today, I’m sharing all the pawty decor! I didn’t do too much decorating – pretty much limited it to the mantle and made a festive wreath. I didn’t want it to be too theme-y, so I went mostly with a coordinated color scheme, then incorporated a few puppy items here and there. I also let the party crafts be part of the overall decor, and really the kids cared most about playing with Penny anyway πŸ™‚

Make it Monday: Puppy PAWty Crafts

Hi there! I’m back after a little blogging break. I traveled to Rhode Island for work, then to Mississippi for a sorority chapter visit, leaving no time for party hosting. But, I came back from my trip, and got right back to it putting together a little party PAWty for my favorite pup! On Saturday, we celebrated our first year with Penny, and we invited some of her favorite friends over to pawty with her.

Make It Monday: March Madness

Selection Sunday is complete and now it’s time to make your bracket! And if you have no clue what I’m talking about – it’s time for The Big Dance, also known as NCAA Basketball Playoffs!!

Ever since college, when my friend Dayme and I worked in the Athletics Department at our school, I’ve LOVED college basketball, and especially March Madness. And of course, since I love it so much, it’s definitely a reason to party! Continue reading

Make it Monday: St. Patrick’s Day Table

I can’t believe it’s already March!! I like to leave my Valentine’s decor up through the whole month of February, so this weekend it was time to transition to my green and gold for St. Patrick’s Day decor, which I leave up through the end of March. One of the first things I did was get my table dressed and ready for the season!

I reused a lot of the decorations I had previously used to celebrate the Pantone Color of the Year, making this tablescape super simple to pull together. In addition to reusing those items, I found some great decorations at Michaels.

I am totally digging those tags. They’re big and wooden, and the gold cord accent is perfect. The felt banner is Continue reading
