Hi there! I’m back after a little blogging break. I traveled to Rhode Island for work, then to Mississippi for a sorority chapter visit, leaving no time for party hosting. But, I came back from my trip, and got right back to it putting together a little party PAWty for my favorite pup! On Saturday, we celebrated our first year with Penny, and we invited some of her favorite friends over to pawty with her.
I mean, how could we NOT celebrate one year with that adorable face?!
I’ll be blogging all about the pawty this week, starting today with fun crafts we had for the kids.
The first activity was decorating little wooden frames. I displayed all the frame supplies in a dog bowl (what else?! :)) Then, I used my Polaroid camera to take snaps of each kid with Penny, and attached the picture to the frame. Each kid got to take home their frame as a memory of the party.
Next up was decorating bandannas, just like Penny wears! I bought plain white bandannas and fabric markers at the craft store, and put them in dog bowls. When it was craftin’ time, each kid’s creativity ran wild!
I love how Penny was right there under the table while the kids worked. She was so happy to have them all there! 🙂
The final activity, and probably a favorite among everyone, was puppy adoption time!
I got a variety of little puppies, corralled them in a crate, and they were ready to find their new homes.
I found the adorable adoption certificates online here, and the free printable set also came with little tags. I punched the tags out and had ribbon available, so each puppy could have a new collar. The kids were so proud of their new pups, and I know each pup found a great new home!
Tomorrow I’ll be sharing all the tasty treats we munched on at the pawty!
PAWty on!
