Empire State of Mind

I’m in New York for a few days before heading to a work conference on Sunday, so I’ll be taking a little blogging break. Follow me on Instagram to see what we’re up to in one of my most favorite cities!

The pictures above are from my trip to NYC last year. I love it here, and I’m so excited to be back.

Party on!

Friday Favorites: Stripes and Floral Garden Party

This week I’ve been getting ready for the annual Kappa Delta Sisterhood Brunch at Washington State University! It’s a garden party theme, and I love how bright and modern it is.

This brunch is an opportunity to celebrate the graduating seniors as well as recognize chapter members for a variety of achievements. Today I’m sharing my favorite things about the brunch prep I’ve done this week.

My first favorite is the wooden sorority letters I painted for the occasion. I shared all those details on Monday, and you can read that post here.

Make it Monday: Custom Sorority Letters

I am so excited about this week’s blog projects! This weekend, I’m headed to Pullman, Washington, home of Washington State University to celebrate sisterhood with some of my favorite Kappa Delta sisters!

Every year, I get to work with two collegiate members to plan this special event, and I feel so lucky because they always ask me to help with decorations. Today, I’m sharing the wooden sorority letters I created for the banquet! We’re going with a garden party theme, so I wanted the letters to set the tone for the theme, and the women will use them at a photo booth.

I gathered all the supplies I needed – flowers, paint, paintbrushes, hot glue/gun, wire cutters, and wooden sorority letters.

Friday Favorites: All Things Spring

This week has been full of flowers, flowers, and more flowers, and I’m loving it! My favorites this week reflect all those blooms, so let’s dive right in!

On Monday, I shared a tablescape for a Spring Soirée, and I loved all the bright colors paired with the white blooms. Definitely a favorite! Check out the details here.

Make it Monday: Spring Soirée Tablescape

Happy Monday! There are bluebird skies and blooming flowers here in the Pacific Northwest, so it’s definitely a HAPPY Monday here! Now, it’s supposed to rain this afternoon…but, I’ll take the sun when I can get it!

This week, I’ll be sharing ideas for a Spring Soirée brunch or lunch, full of flowers and bright colors. Today, I’m showing you how I put together an easy spring tablescape. I was inspired by one of my go-to shops for festive dishes, Pier 1. I love the variety they have there – whether you’re a bright-white decorator or you love lots of color – you can find many options to bring your spring tablescape (or any tablescape, really!) to life.

Ok, so now onto my tablescape!  Continue reading

Friday Favorites: Bunny Brunch

This week I’ve been doing some party styling for a Bunny Brunch, and today I’m sharing all my favorite things about hosting this festive brunch. I hope you’ll be inspired to recreate it yourself!

My first favorite is the Bunny Flower Crown I created with items from Target. It was so much fun to make, and pretty easy! I found the bunny headband in the Easter section, and the felt flowers were from the Dollar Stop. I guess the picture was a hit, because Target featured it in their Awesome Shop! This would make a great craft and/or party favor at a Bunny Brunch. Get all the details here.
