Hi friends! I missed you last week! I had a blast in Ohio at #GIRL2017, the National Conference for Girl Scouts which happens every three years. It was a week filled with inspiring speakers, amazing Girl Scouts, and tons of fun. Here are a few snapshots.
I was in charge of the stage shows, which meant I got to meet so many amazing people, including former Secretary of the Interior, Sally Jewell. It was a great event, and I’m so glad I got to be part of it.
And, now I’m happy to be back to blogging! This week, I’m celebrating Halloween, but doing it a little different this year – it’s all black and white! For my Halloween Make It Monday, I created an incredibly easy centerpiece for a tablescape (I’ll share the tablescape Friday!).
I bought a black foam pumpkin and white flowers from Michaels.
I used a knife to carve out the top of the pumpkin, then gave the flowers a quick trim so they’d fit inside the pumpkin. Then, because I didn’t think the sunflowers would totally fill out the arrangement, I went to my flower box in the garage and pulled out some additional white flowers.
I tucked everything in until I got a look I liked, and ta-da, done! A five minute craft! And I love the results!
I’m excited to bring the rest of the party to life! Check back Thursday for a delicious black and white Halloween party recipe. See you then!
Party on!
