Apple Cup is just ten days away, and I’m getting in the Apple Cup spirit on the blog this week in preparation. On Monday, I shared a fun house-divided wreath, and today I’m sharing a delicious, crowd-pleasing, and simple cocktail idea!
I found this amazing recipe on Pizzazzerie, and decided to try it out. It is so good, and I love that you can fix it and forget it – genius for a party.
Here’s what you need for a big batch:
- 8 parts vodka
- 7 cups apple cider
- 8 parts caramel syrup
- 2 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 tbsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- apple slices and cinnamon sticks for garnish
Pour it all into a slow cooker, mix it, and put the slow cooker on low for three hours to do its magic. After three hours, your house will smell amazing, and you’ll have a delicious cocktail for everyone to enjoy. Add apple slices and cinnamon sticks to the slow cooker for extra flare.
I decided that this cocktail needed a proper vessel, so I found theĀ apple cups at Sur La Table. While I was shopping for all things apple on their website, I also added a box of apple cider doughnut mix and decided to bake those up to serve alongside the cocktail. They are so easy to make and delicious! I made doughnut holes instead of full doughnuts, and they’re the perfect little bite.
And, of course, I couldn’t resist the darling apple plates to match my cups!
Check back tomorrow for all my Apple Cup favorites!
Party on!
