Happy Friday! I can’t believe we’re just 2 days away from ringing in the new year! This year, well every year actually (ha!), we’re having a low-key, quiet night at home. Honestly, it’s my favorite way to ring in the new year – no pressure, relaxed, and cozy. Just because we’re staying in, doesn’t mean it can’t be festive! So, I thought it’d be fun to come up with a list of my favorite ideas for a New Year’s Night In, in case you’re like us and plan on staying in too.
Any good night in needs a spa treatment or two, right? Well I found the perfect pair for New Year’s Eve: Glam Glow’s Glitter Mask and bath salt confetti. Festive facial?! Yes, please! And a confetti popper full of bath salts?! So fun!
I gave the facial a trial run last week, and it is so cool. You use a little brush to put the mask on your face, let it dry for about 30 minutes, and then it peels off. Both these treats are favorites for New Year’s Eve.
My next favorite idea for the night in is a champagne tasting. We have a Total Wine near us, and they sell mini bottles of wine and champagne. I picked up three bottles of champagne that we’ve never tried before, and it’ll be so fun to sample and compare them on New Year’s Eve.
To go along with the champagne tasting, a festive treat is a must. My next favorite is a bag of champagne and rosé gummy bears Chelsea found at Starbucks. I can’t wait to sample these on NYE.
Another favorite idea is festive New Year’s Eve decor! Target’s Dollar Spot has some super cute options. Check out what I found! The sticks are photo props, but they could definitely be repurposed and put into a bouquet of flowers or on top of a festive cake.
And speaking of cake, my favorite party blogger, Pizzazzerie has a perfect bubbly cupcake option that would be so great for NYE! Get her recipe here.
And my final favorite is a savory treat that would be great for New Year’s Eve: Oven Fried Pickles. We made these for Christmas Eve and they are so yummy, and very simple. Get the recipe here.
Happy New Year! I hope 2018 is everything you wish it to be.
