It’s Cookies and Cocktails Week here in Western Washington, and I am super excited about it! For those who are new around here, I am the Program Director for Girl Scouts of Western Washington, and one of the special projects I get to be part of is our Cookies and Cocktails event. This party is an opportunity for Girl Scouts to connect with members of our community by partnering with local food/drink vendors who create Girl Scout cookie-themed bites and drinks.
This past weekend, Girl Scouts had a booth at a local vendor fair to promote the event, and I had the privilege of decorating the booth in this year’s theme of “Around the Campfire.”
When deciding on the color-scheme, I opted to use the Cookies and Cocktails promotional materials as my inspiration. I gathered a bunch of my own decor from this fall’s camping themed party and Kamp KD. I also ordered some party supplies from one of my favorite shops, Shop Sweet Lulu, and hit up my local craft stores. Here’s what I came up with.
I really enjoyed putting this booth together. I decided to do a lot of layering of patterns and textures, and making it a sophisticated and fashionable campsite. The empty cake plates you see were filled with cookies for trade show attendees to sample while learning about the event. I was so happy with how this turned out, and it’ll be making another appearance Thursday at the actual event as a spot where guest can snap a fun pic!
This year’s event is going to be so great! I’ll let this video give a quick snapshot of what guests can expect.
If you want to read about last year’s event, I blogged about that here.
And if you’re local and want details about and/or tickets to the event, get those here. I’d love to see you there!
I’ll be back on Thursday sharing my own Girl Scout Cookie inspired treat. See you then!
Party on!
