Friday Favorites: Spring Cleaning

Seriously? April is already almost over?! When did that happen?? Now don’t get me wrong, I am soooo ready for summer, but goodness this month has gone by fast! And since it’s finally starting to feel like spring here in the Pacific Northwest, I thought it would be a perfect time to do some spring cleaning, so I’ve been blogging about that this week!

Before I dive into that, my first favorite is a real taste of spring time. Last weekend, we took our annual trip up to Mount Vernon, which is a town about two hours north of Seattle, and home to the annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. This is one of my favorite traditions because I just LOVE all the tulips. Here are some of my snapshots from our trip.

Spring Cleaning Party

This past weekend, Chelsea and I started some of our spring cleaning, and of course I’ll use any excuse to turn every day tasks into a party. This year’s spring cleaning was definitely cause for a celebration because we used the new Grove Collaborative cleaning products!

Friday Favorites: Weekend Fun!

Who else is thrilled to see Friday?!! I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend of nothing! Last weekend, I was double-booked and ended up deciding on a weekend getaway with my troop while my sorority sisters took on the set-up and execution of the annual Sisterhood Banquet on my behalf. My favorites this week are reflecting back on both those events from last weekend!

My first favorite is the weekend getaway with my Girl Scout Troop. We enjoyed exploring Olympic National Park and spending lots of time together! The girls graduate in June, so this was our final overnight adventure and it was a great one.

The little house we stayed in was adorable! Continue reading

Kappa Delta Sisterhood Banquet

It’s that time of year again – graduation and banquet season! I have the pleasure of helping to plan the Sisterhood Banquet for the Kappa Delta Chapter at Washington State. It is definitely one of my favorite events of the year. Last year, I did a modern garden theme with black and white stripes and bright florals.

This year, since the banquet fell on the WSU Chapter’s Founder’s Day, I thought it’d be fun to go with a “Classic Kappa Delta” theme, meaning lots of green & white and white roses.

Since set-up time was super short, I wanted to keep the centerpieces simple. I opted for Continue reading

Friday Favorites: POP! Shower

Happy Friday! This week, in celebration of April Showers, I’ve been reflecting on a fun joint baby-engagement shower I threw for two friends. I co-hosted this shower with another sweet friend, and we decided on the POP! theme because we could use both “She’s about to POP!” and “He POPPPED the question!”

My first favorite is the decor I shared on Monday. We went with the classic popcorn color scheme of red and white, with some gold and black mixed in.

It’s April! Are you just as surprised as I? This year is zooming by! Nevertheless, I’m embracing April and celebrating my favorite April Showers this month – showers that celebrate life milestones!

This week, it’s been all about Engagement Showers and all my favorites this week are focused on the fun time that is engagement.

My first favorite this week is the simple, festive theme I shared on Tuesday.
