This week I’m sharing details of my first game watching party for the Seattle Chapter of the Texas Tech Alumni Association. Yesterday I shared the decor details.
You can read about those here.
Today, I’m sharing a delicious and easy treat that’s perfect for any game watching party.
Here’s what I used to create these festive treats.
- Brownie mix
- Royal icing
- Green frosting, sold already tinted at Michaels
- Red, white, and black sprinkles, sold in mini packets for easy team customization at Michaels
- Sugar footballs
- (not pictured) White chocolate chips
- Circle cookie cutter
- (not pictured) Pastry bag with star tip
After baking the brownies according to the box instructions, I let them cool completely. Then, I used the circle cookie cutter to cut out shapes from the pan.
Next I frosted half the brownie with white frosting and dipped it in red, black, and white sprinkles. I used these colors in keeping with the school colors!
Once that was done, I used green frosting with a star tip to create the football field.
After some trial and error, first using royal icing, I settled on melted white chocolate for the goal post. I melted the white chocolate inside a ziploc bag, then snipped a small corner off the bag and drew the goal posts on foil to harden. For a finishing touch, I added a candy football, and the treats were done!
They are sugary and delicious, and I’ll be making these all season long.
Go Tech and party on!
