Happy October and happy Friday! This week I’ve been reflecting on a tropical bridal shower I hosted on the last day of summer. It was so much fun!
My first favorite is the decorations I pulled together for the shower.
Read the details here.
The craft at the shower was haku leis, or flower crowns, and they were a hit, and a favorite this week for sure.
Read the how-to here.
My next favorite is the Moscow mule bar at the shower. This was a special request of the bride and I was so happy with how it turned out.
I bought tropical flavored ginger beer, vodka, limes, and lime juice to make classic Moscow mules. I rented copper mugs, found some festive drink umbrellas and bamboo picks, and the drinks were party perfect.
The bride is a long-time friend and sorority sister. I first met her when I was her advisor and she was in college. Now, we’re good friends and she’s one of my favorite people!
And my final favorite is the orchids we’ve been enjoying at home, since they were leftover decorations from the shower. I only hope I can keep them alive!!
Happy weekend and party on!
