Hello friends! I can’t believe a month has passed since I last blogged. It has been a busy month to say the least – I got married!! It was a wonderful celebration, and I’m excited to start sharing some of the details here with you.
Today I’m sharing all about our seating chart and table assignments. We decided to do something a little different, and instead of giving the tables numbers, we gave them locations of places we had traveled.
When guests arrived, they were greeted by a large wooden trifold that Chelsea made. We stained it a dark brown, then attached travel photos with table assignments. In front of the trifold, we put flowers, glassybaby votives, and a chalkboard globe that read “where in the world am I sitting?”
We used three sheets of plywood and gold hinges from Lowes to build the trifold. We ordered 3×5 gold frames from Dollar Tree, and attached them with command strips. Inside the frames, we put printed photos and the table assignments and grouped them together on the board. The globe was a lucky find from Michaels, and the glassybaby votives and flowers were used throughout the venue for decor, so adding them here tied it all together.
At each table, we created a stand to hang the table cards from. We used copper piping to create an L that we glued into a wooden post top, which we stained to match the trifold.
For extra support, we glued a piece of tile under the wooden post top. Each card was attached to the copper pipe with ribbon.
We got all the supplies from Lowes, the ribbon came from Michaels, and the cards were ordered and printed from Etsy.
On the tables, each table card was set inside a flower ring or next to a vase of flowers, We also tucked glassybaby votives and ceramic pumpkinsĀ to complete the look.
I love how everything turned out, and I loved this personal touch to make our tables unique. Here are each of the cards with their descriptions…
Chicago
Colorado
Dallas
Disney World
Hot Springs
Iceland
Leavenworth
Maui
New England
New York City
Red River
Seabrook
Sonoma
Spain
Sunriver
Washington, D.C.
We used the same format for each card, highlighting a few facts from our trip and ending with a fun anecdote that served as a conversation starter with our guests.
Stay tuned to the blog for more wedding highlights!
Party on!

Gotta admit, the table number idea was pretty cool.
