It’s been two weeks since our wedding, and I’m still on a wedding high reflecting on all the details and feeling so much love from our friends and family. Read about some of our wedding details here. We received so many wonderful gifts in celebration of our big day, and one of my favorites was our wedding invitation turned into an ornament. It is such a treasured keepsake and something I know we’ll enjoy each holiday season.
This idea will now become my go-to for weddings in the future – I love it that much! And, bonus, it is simple!!
The first step is to cut the invitation into strips of varying widths using a paper cutter.
Next, use a marker to wrap the strips around to curl them.
Once all the strips are curled, put them inside a clear glass ornament – I bought mine from the craft store, they came in a four pack.
After all the strips have been placed inside, put the silver cap back on the ornament, then add a coordinating ribbon.
We are going to a wedding this weekend, and I plan to make a Newlywed basket with champagne, champagne glasses, chocolates, and the ornament! Follow me on Instagram for snaps of the gift and of all the wedding fun we’ll be having this weekend!
Party on!
