Last week I put together a little Galentine’s Celebration for my sorority sisters! It was such a fun way to celebrate with the sisters I love so much! We each brought Valentines to exchange, and had pizza, salad, and festive desserts. I decided to go with a lips theme after spotting the CUTEST plates and napkins on Shop Sweet Lulu‘s website.
In addition to Shop Sweet Lulu, I picked up partywares from Michaels, Target, and Party City to round out my decorations.
One of my favorite party tricks, which I mention often, is to use wrapping paper as my decoration base. I love this because there are so many patterns to choose from, and the paper can be recycled after the party is over. This event was no different. I had some festive paper with hearts all over it that was perfect.
On top, I layered all the partywares and decor. I included some of my red, pink, and white glassybaby votives, and my felt letterboard. I added in two vases of roses, and tucked in some heart balloons for an extra festive touch.
Behind the decor, I hung a tassel banner, and used my gold letter set to spell out “Galentine’s Day.”
We had a lot of festive dessert options, including my Cupid’s Crunch, a Valentine’s charcuterie, and some cupcakes that were each on their own little cake stands to make them really stand out.The Valentine’s charcuterie was so fun to put together. I used Jenny Cookies cupcakes and sugar cookies, and a variety of Valentine candy to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth. I loved layering in all the different items to add texture and interest to the board. And, it was a big hit with all my Galentines!
Later this week I share the gift I gave my Gals and all the great things I received from them! See you back here then!
