Hello and happy Friday! I’m wrapping up a whole week of working from home due to a snowstorm that came through on Monday and dumped about 8 inches of snow. The forecast says we’re expecting to get another 10 to 12 inches this weekend. So needless to stay we’ve stocked our fridge, bought some wine, and we’re ready!
Last week I had the opportunity to host a little Galentine’s party for my sorority sisters and it was so much fun! All my favorites this week are a look back at that fun night with my best gals.
My first favorite is the decorations I found for the party. I am in love with the lip plates and napkins.
Find all these festive partywares at Shop Sweet Lulu.
I provided dessert for the party, and decided it would be fun to put together a dessert board with a variety of treats. I loved picking out lots of different Valentines candies and baked goods to bring the board to life. Definitely a favorite and something I plan to recreate for future holidays for sure.
So yummy, right?! My favorite is the sour cherry hearts. Mmmmm! Read more about the decor and dessert board here.
Another favorite this week was looking back through all the great Valentines I received from my Galentines. We each brought Valentines to exchange and every gift was so thoughtful and unique. Here’s what I came home with…
All the gifts were so fun, and one of the most clever was the book. My sorority sis, Jordan, is “Marie Kondo-ing” her house (that’s how she described it – haha!), and brought all her favorite books to pass along to each of us. So smart, right?!
And, of course, I had a lot of fun coming up with my Valentine. I found the cutest printable from Tonality Designs (here) and was instantly inspired and decided it was perfect for my gals.
Adorable, right?! I chose air plants because they are insanely easy to care for. You don’t have to do anything. For real. They absorb moisture from the air for nutrients and that’s it. I “planted” them in some shell pieces inside a tiny little ceramic pot with a wooden base. Then, I cut out the printable and attached it with a clothespin. Easy peasy and definitely a favorite this week!
How are you celebrating Galentine’s Day? Please share!
