It’s March, and in Western Washington that means it’s time for Girl Scout Cookie Booth Sales! All over our council, Girl Scouts are selling cookies in front of grocery stores for the next two weeks!!
In honor of this time of year, I put together a fun platter of treats featuring Girl Scout cookies.
I used a large melanine tray and green bowls from Target to build my charcuterie. I love this circular tray because it’s perfect for packing full of treats to serve a large group of people. And the green bowls are just right for dips, and the pricepoint is amazing. I included every cookie, then supplemented with some fruit, some trefoil-shaped brownies (that’s the Girl Scout logo), and some trefoil-shaped sugar cookies. I also added in some frosting and nutella dips. I’m so happy with how it turned out, and it was a big hit with the girls!
To offset all the sweets, I accompanied the cookie charcuterie with a veggie charcuterie. In keeping with the Girl Scout theme, I opted for green veggies and made some trefoil-shaped cheddar biscuits to tuck in. I also added some crackers, ranch dip, and hummus dip. I love how this one turned out as well, and while it was less popular than the cookie tray for the girls, the adults enjoyed it. 😉
I took the trays to an event we had in celebration of our National Girl Scouts USA CEO, Slyvia Acevedo, visiting to promote her book “Reach for the Stars.”
It was a great event, and I loved the opportunity to meet with Sylvia and hear her inspiring words. This week, it’s all about Girl Scout Cookies, so check back again for more cookie fun!Party on!
