A couple weeks ago, I co-hosted a very special retirement party for my mother-in-law! She retired from 26 years as a nurse, so family and friends gathered to celebrate this exciting milestone.
I thought that a garden party would be the perfect way to celebrate since we just recently welcomed spring!
I found the perfect party plates, napkins, cups, banner, and paper fans from the Rifle Paper Co line from my favorite party shop, Shop Sweet Lulu!
Once I decided on that party set, I built out the rest of the decor for the table by incorporating a coordinating lavender table cloth (I love these tablecloths – inexpensive and great quality!), lots of flowers, and glassybaby votives.
The centerpiece of the table was the max cake we ordered for the celebration. I ordered the cake from Jenny Cookies Bakeshop, and asked that they coordinate with the paper goods. They did such a great job! I tucked in a glittery topper that said “Happy Retirement Kim.”
On the mantle, I hung a tassel banner, a Rifle Paper Co banner personalized to say “Happy Retirement Kim” and a few Rifle Paper Co paper fans.
For party favors, I ordered some fun flower lollipops and displayed them in a lollipop stand with a wooden letter board, flowers, and a glassybaby votive to complete the vignette.
I loved how everything turned out, and it was such a special day celebrating Kim. Check back tomorrow to see the delicious cocktail we served at the celebration!
Party on!
