A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of hosting a Sisterhood Celebration for the collegiate women in the Kappa Delta chapter at Washington State University. This is a celebration I get to help plan every year, and every year I love it so much!
For this year’s theme, we went with a lot of Kappa Delta colors and symbols, similar to last year’s Classic Kappa Delta theme.
I was so excited to find some white rose plates and an olive green striped table runner from one of my favorite shops, Swoozies, so I knew I had to go with another version of Classic Kappa Delta this year.
runner | plates | napkinsThe tables at our brunch location came dressed with black tablecloths, so I ran the runner down the center, then topped it with a rose gold mercury glass vase filled with white flowers, including roses spider mums, and carnations. I also added in a framed picture of the Kappa Delta crest and a glassybaby votive to complete the look.
At each placesetting, there was a white rose plate, rose leaf napkin, and a program for the celebration. Attached to the program was a sticker illustration of the house, created by one of the talented sisters at WSU who is studying graphic design (check out her work here). I used these perfect little rose gold clips to attach the sticker.
As people arrived, they were greated by a welcome table with oversize balloons that had gold and silver streamers hanging from them, as well as some extra glitter streamers, flowers, and glassybaby votives. At the front of the banquet room, we set up the gifts table and a streamer backdrop for photos.
And check out that snapchat filter! I love creating snapchat filters for events, and I feel like it’s that’ little something extra that takes your event to the next level. It’s super easy, too! I purchased a template design on Etsy, and now have access to the design platform templett.com. I use that platform to create my designs, and then upload the design to the snapchat platform. It takes roughly 48 hours for the design to be approved, and then it shows up on the day/time you designate in the location that you want (you set the radius for the filter using their map feature). Super easy and such a wow factor! It was such a great celebration, and I’m so proud of these seniors! They’ve stayed dedicated and actively involved in Kappa Delta throughout their time at WSU and I cant wait to see what they do as alumnae members.
And a special shoutout to my chapter advisory board sisters who made the trek to Pullman with me. We had a great trip and I’m so thankful for their friendship and our sisterhood!Party on!
