Hi friends! Happy Friday!
Over the last few weeks, I’ve posted several cocktail recipes… Hello quarantine!! I thought it would be fun to capture all of those recipes in one blog post, plus add a new one because, duh… if you’ve already tried the other four you need a new one for this weekend!!
First up, obviously, has to be the Quarantini!
Here are the steps for two cocktails…
Ingredients:
3 oz. vodka
3/4 cup ruby red grapefruit juice
1/8 cup lime juice
1 oz. Cointreau
Dash grapefruit bitters
Lime slices
Directions:
Fill shaker with ice.
Add all liquid ingredients.
Shake.
Strain into cocktail glass and garnish with lime slice.
Next is the Jedi Mindtrick. I posted this recipe for May the Fourth, but it’s so delicious it can be enjoyed anytime of year. Star Wars marathon anyone??
Here’s how you make one cocktail…
Ingredients:
1.5 oz. grapefruit rose vodka
1 oz. Velvet Falernum
1 oz. white grape juice
1 tsp. blue curaçao
1 tsp. lime juice
Dash grapefruit bitters
Grapefruit slice for garnish
Directions:
Mix all liquids in cocktail shaker over ice
Strain into cocktail glass
Top with grapefruit slice for garnish. Use a lightsaber party pick for extra Star Wars flair!
Another favorite cocktail from the last couple weeks is my pineapple jalapeño margarita. It’s sweet, it’s spicy, it’s perfect!
Here’s the recipe for one cocktail:
Ingredients:
3/4 cup pineapple juice
1/4 cup tequila
1/8 cup triple sec
1Tbsp. lime juice
2 slices jalapeño
1 slice pineapple
2 Tbsp. salt
1 tsp. chile powder
Directions:
Mix salt and chile powder in a shallow bowl for glass rim.
Use lime wedge to wet rim of glass, then dip into salt mixture.
Fill glass with ice.
In cocktail shaker filled with ice, add all liquid ingredients plus one slice of jalapeño.
Shake.
Strain into glass, and top with remaining jalapeño slice and pineapple.
My pansy punch is great for a zoom date with your girlfriends!
Here’s how to make one cocktail…
Ingredients:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup blackberries
1 oz. gin
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 oz. sparkling rosé
Pansies (or another flower) for garnish
Directions:
Blackberry Syrup:
In small pan add water, sugar, and blackberries.
Simmer and stir for five minutes.
Strain into heat-proof jar to cool, then chill until ready to use.
Fill cocktail shaker with ice.
Add 2 Tbsp. blackberry syrup.
Add gin and lemon juice.
Shake, then strain into cocktail glass.
Top with rosé.
Garnish with pansy!
And finally, the Canlis Mai Tai can’t be missed. It. Is. AMAZING! We ordered a cocktail kit from one of our favorite local restaurants, Canlis, and it was so fun!
To recreate the cocktail for yourself, here are the steps for one serving…
Ingredients:
2 oz. Plantation dark rum
0.5 oz. Pierre Ferrand Curacao
1/8 ounce orgeat syrup
1/2 ounce orange juice
2 ounces pineapple juice
Orchid garnish
Mint leaves garnish
Directions:
Add ice to cocktail shaker.
Add all liquids to shaker.
Shake.
Strain into cocktail glass (I chose a hollowed out pineapple! I used this corer to create the glass).
Top with orchid and mint garnish.
