Happy 2021, friends! I’m excited to welcome the new year and all the possibility it holds!! If you’ve read here for a while, you know that I am very involved with my sorority, Kappa Delta, and am honored to hold a number of volunteer roles. One of my roles is a local chapter advisor for the Kappa Delta chapter at Washington State University (Go Cougs!). Check out their gorgeous chapter house! And peep the cutest little photo bomber you ever did see!
Every fall, the chapter elects a new council of officers, and then before the spring semester starts, my fellow advisors and I host Kamp Kappa Delta as part of the officers’ onboarding. We knew we couldn’t miss the opportunity to host this year, so we went virtual and it was a great success!
Some of my host responsibilities are decorations and activities, and I was up for the challenge this year since it all had to pivot. We’ve had the same Kamp decor since 2013, centered around some amazing printables designed by Anders Ruff. The printables inspire the whole look, with lime green, pink, and purple being the color scheme. Since I wasn’t decorating a whole cabin this year, I decided instead to decorate my mantle, which is in the background of my desk so it’s visible on camera.
Most of the decor I’ve had for years, and I decided to also include some of my white glass Chirstmas trees and glassybaby votives for extra sparkle.
I couldn’t pass up the chance to update my Letterfolk tile mat for the occasion!
I love how everything turned out, and was happy I got to decorate even though we were virtual.
Usually at Kamp we do some sort of craft as a sisterhood activity, and also give a few treats throughout the weekend. In place of that, for virtual Kamp, I decided to put together Kamp kits for everyone. I had so much fun selecting the items for the kit with the hope that it would bring the Kamp vibe to everyone’s home.
The card I included in the kit speaks for itself, describing why I selected each item (see it in the background of the photo below).
Blank Coffee Sleeves | Socks | Water bottle | Candle | Trail Mix
S’mores | S’mores Tag | Notebook| Decal| Kamp Badge
I got some pink crinkle to pack everything safely inside the boxes, then ordered some customizable paper tape with the Kamp logo to seal up the boxes for mailing. I was so pleased with how everything came together!
Kamp was a success, and even though I wish we could’ve all been together in person, this was definitely a wonderful virtual event. Here’s a peek at our weekend schedule:
I’m excited to see what these new chapter leaders achieve in their term and for another year with my advisor sisters!

And just for fun, since it’s Thursday, here’s a little throwback pic to my college days in Kappa Delta. That’s me in the back row on the left. Gotta love our brightly colored baby tees and capri pants circa 2001!
Party on!

I know it wasn’t the same being virtual but I’m thankful I got to finally experience Kamp! Great post!
