If you’ve read here for a while, you know that Girl Scouts is a big part of my life! Since today is Girl Scouts’ birthday, I thought it would be fun to higlight some Girl Scout favorites.
I’ve worked for Girl Scouts of Western Washington for 12 and a half years, and on my 11-year anniversary, I posted eleven higlights from my Girl Scout journey. That post remains a favorite! Read it here.
And this photo from my Raccoon Hollow Day Camp days is a favorite from my Girl Scout story (shoutout to my home council, now called Girl Scouts Northeast Texas.).
Being a Girl Scout troop leader is a favorite for sure! When my troop was in their senior year, we had a Bucket List Year, where we checked things off of their Girl Scout Bucket List as a group. That year and those girls are definitely favorites. Read that post here.
Another favorite is the recipe I posted earlier this week for Girl Scout Cookie Layer Bars. Do yourself a favor and stock up on some Girl Scout Cookies so you can make these. They. Are. Divine! Get the recipe here.
My next favorite is creating a Girl Scout Cookie charcuterie every year during cookie season. Check out my creations over the years.
Which one is your fave??
Girl Scouts USA is 109 years old this year and the organization has had an incredible impact on so many lives since its founding! Are you or were you a Girl Scout? And if so, what’s your favorite Girl Scout story?
Happy birthday Girl Scouts!
Party on!
