We love love love the Olympics around here, so this week we’ve been getting the house ready, and preparing a cocktail and snacks for tonight’s Opening Ceremony! I’m partial to the track and field events, gymnastics, and swimming. What are your favorite summer Olympics events??
My first Olympic favorite is this fun decor piece I made. I got all the supplies from Michaels, and I love how it came together. Head to my Instagram account and check out the Olympics highlight for more details.
I ended up hanging it above our mantle, and paired it with some glassybaby votives in coordinating colors, then added some flowers to compliment the decor.
Another favorite is the Olympics flag we have hanging outside our house. I ordered it on Amazon, and I love that it will show our team pride for the next two weeks. Go Team USA!

I can’t wait to snack on all these delicious treats, and I’m especially excited about the Oreo and Chips Ahoy cookies that were specifically created for the Olympics! And I love the Cookies and Creme Hershey bar, so the red, white, and blue spin was a must for this treat tray. I got all three of these specialty items at Target!
My final favorite is the Olympics torch cocktail we’ll be sipping on tonight! I love the firey look of this cocktail, and it’s super easy to make.
Here are the ingredients for one cocktail:
1. 1 oz. vodka
2. 5 oz. orange juice
3. 1 oz. grenadine
4. club soda
5. lifesaver gummies
And here’s how you make it:
1. Fill glass with ice
2. Pour in grenadine shot
3. Pour in Vodka
4. Add orange juice
5. Top with club soda
6. Garnish with lifesavers in an olympic ring design
