Hi friends! It has been a while! A lot has changed for me professionally in the last year – I accepted a promotion at Girl Scouts, which meant my blog took a back seat as I got settled into my new role. I also took the opportunity to evaluate what I want this space to be. I still love being creative with events and recipes, but my passion is travel and Disney. I spent the last few months taking online classes to become a certified Travel Agent. And what better day to announce this than on National Plan For Vacation Day!
Currently, I am helping clients plan trips to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani, Disney Cruises, Adventures by Disney, Universal Hollywood, Universal Orlando, and Carnival Cruises. I’m expanding my certifications all the time, so if there’s another destination you’re interested in, please let me know and I’ll see how I can help.
Why should you use a travel agent? First of all – it’s FREE! Considering me for help with your travel plans is completely free to you. When I book your travel plans for you, I am paid a comission by the destination and often have early knowledge of discounts.
Travel agents can take the stress out of planning! I know of special deals, perks, and have great recommendations and expertise for the places you’re traveling.
What can you expect from me? I am a hands-on travel agent. I want to ensure your trip is stress free from conception to your return home. I have extensive experience traveling and a vast knowledge of the Disney properties. I also love building out an itenerary, and will create one that fits the budget and unique needs of each travel group.
So what does this mean for my blog? I’ll be sharing my trip recaps, both Disney and non-Disney, and about trips I plan for clients, getting their insights post-travel. I still plan to share event ideas and recipes, and they’ll mostly be associated with vacations – recreating favorite recipes and celebration ideas from travel destinations, like I did in this post.
I’m also working on renaming Julie Wendell Events, and that’s actually what’s been holding me back from announcing my travel business, because I just can’t decide. After a few months of brainstorming, I thought I may as well launch and maybe it’ll just come to me eventually (any ideas?!). Stay tuned for a little renaming and a blog makeover coming soon!
What else do you want to see in this space? What would be helpful for you as you plan trips? Let me know in the comments.
Thanks for being here all these years, and I hope you’re as excited about this change as I am!
Be sure to follow me on Instagram, currently at @juliewendellevents, for travel inspiration, stories, and photos.
Let’s Go!
