Bright Suns! To celebrate May the Fourth, I am recapping my time in Galaxy’s Edge on my recent trip to Walt Disney World, PLUS doing a Star Wars themed giveaway (details at the end of this post!).
Ok, now let’s visit Galaxy’s Edge! With several Star Wars fans in our group, all of whom had not visited Galaxy’s Edge yet, so I knew it was a priority for us to spend several hours exploring and soaking it all in.
Our first stop was a ride on the Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Because we were a group of five, we filled the ship ourselves, so it was super fun to have our everyone in our group fill the pilot, gunner, and engineer roles.
After our ride, it was time to explore a bit and then we headed to Droid Depot for several of us to build our droids. We all LOVED this so much! The whole experience was super engaging and cast members were super attentive to each of us as we were building. I opted for an R2 unit, and got to pick the personality chip, the body, head, and arms to make my droid uniquely my own.
Once our droids were safely in our care, it was time to shop around a bit. The market in Galaxy’s Edge is so immersive with lots of interesting items to explore.
A little while later, it was finally time to ride Rise of the Resistance. We loved joining the Resistance in the battle with the First Order.
After popping out of Galaxy’s Edge for a bit to watch Fantastmic, it was time to return for a late night bite at Oga’s Cantina.
While we waited for our table, we had the chance to take some really cool pictures in Galaxy’s Edge with light sabers. Check out this rad photo of my friend Laura.
This is one of my favorite spots, and I loved getting to share it with all the first timers. I convinced most of the group to order the Fuzzy Tauntaun, and we also ordered some of the Batuu bits.
The park closed while we were enjoying our drinks, so we had the chance to experience an empty Galaxy’s Edge as we exited the park – one of my most favorite things to experience!
It was such a fantastic afternoon and evening, and I really feel like we got to have a full experience in Galaxy’s Edge.
I loved reflecting on our time in Galaxy’s Edge in celebration of May the Fourth! To keep the celebration going, I’m excited to host a Star Wars giveaway with an awesome Stoney Clover Star Wars backpack, scrunchie, and some fun stickers! Head to my Instagram account to enter.
Let’s go!
