I’ve been looking forward to this week’s blog theme for quite a while now! My niece turns two on Valentine’s Day and my mom and I have been planning her Two-tii Fruity Party, so all my blog posts this week will be super fruity. I can’t be at the party in person, but I’ve been gathering a bunch of decorations and ideas and I’ll be sending it all to my mom for her to host the party!
When we were brainstorming ideas for dessert for the dinner, we obviously had fruit on our minds and I thought it would be so fun to do little individual fruit pizzas with a sugar cookie crust, devonshire cream, and fruit! Bonus – there are many shortcuts that can make them super easy!
I wanted to test the idea for myself, because YUM, so I gathered all my supplies…
I was able to buy everything pre-made – break and bake dough, fruit, and even the devonshire cream. I’m lucky that my grocery store carries the devonshire cream ready to go, but I found this great recipe to make it from scratch, too. And, if I wanted to make my sugar cookies from scratch, I’d use this favorite recipe.
The first step was to bake the sugar cookies according to package directions. Then, I let them cool completely, spooned on the devonshire dip, and topped with fruit.
I opted to use just one fruit on each mini pizza, but they’d also be pretty with a variety. Another option would be to set out the cookies, fruit, and dip and let guests make their own mini pizza.
So simple and so delicious!
Come back tomorrow to see all the Two-tti Fruity decorations I have planned for the party!
Party on!
