I’m celebrating all things baseball on my blog this week! Yesterday, I shared the how-to for this baseball wreath.
Get all the details here. I also shared that my SIL was in labor, and baby Desmond is here! Here are some pics of his birthday.
And now, on to Tasty Tuesday! While I was brainstorming for this post, I knew I wanted to come up with something that could be served in my collection of baseball hat bowls, and a sundae seemed like the perfect option! Of course, it had to have a baseball theme, so here’s what I used:
- Brownies, baked to recipe (using a square pan)
- Ice cream
- Cracker Jacks
- Peanuts
- Caramel Sauce
I baked the brownies to recipe and let them cool overnight. Then, I pulled the ice cream out and formed it into baseballs, then poppped them back into the freezer to harden in that shape. After a couple hours, I was ready to build the sundaes.
I first layered in a brownie square, then topped the brownie with three ice cream balls. Next, i drizzled the caramel sauce on top, and topped with cracker jack pieces and peanuts.
I taste-tested this treat, which was a difficult task ;), and it’s YUMMY! This recipe could easily be turned into a sundae bar at a party! You could stack the baseball bowls to the side, and have the pre-formed ice cream balls and brownies on a tray and put the toppings options in jars, so everything is ready for guests to make their own treat!
I’ll be back Friday sharing all my baseball favorites, including an easy tablescape and a baseball-themed mantle makeover.
See you then, and in the meantime, party on!
