Happy Monday, friends! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I wasted no time after the big meal getting all my holiday decor unboxed and put up. This week, I’ll be sharing my decor with you. Today, it’s all about our two trees.
I took advantage of a major sale at Michael’s to get us one new tree this year. I had been looking for a new tree, and Black Friday was the perfect time to get one. I opted for a tall pencil tree, because our house is small, so it takes up less floor space. It’s called the cashmere pencil tree because the branches have a little extra fluff to them, which I love.
For this tree, I used silver, gold, pearl, and olive green ornaments and ribbon. For the tree topper, I chose big bold pearl white flowers. The tree skirt is a white sweater knit with a brown fur trim. I also tucked in some glitter trees and a glitter reindeer at the base of the tree for a little extra flair.
The tree is in the front corner of the house, so it’ll greet guests as they arrive this holiday season!
Our second tree is a tiny little tabletop tree, and this one holds all our travel ornaments. Chelsea and I started collecting ornaments when we traveled somewhere a few years ago, and now it’s a fun little tradition to add to the tree each year. This year, we added a snowflake ornament from Iceland, and a starfish ornament from Olympic National Park. I also found this adorable little cork map of the U.S. at Target, and thought it’d be a great addition to the tree. I filled out the tree with some red and white snowflakes and snowflake burlap ribbon.
The tree skirt is a red sweater knit, and the tree topper is a big flannel ribbon that I tied into a bow.
This tree sits on top of our coffee table on one side of our living room, and I love seeing little reminders of all our adventures.
I love our trees all the time, and especially at night when they create an extra glow in the living room.
Check back tomorrow for more decorations in our house.
Happy holiday season, and party on!
