Oh what a fun week it has been! I love the anticipation of Christmas and all the festivities that it brings. I’ve been off work this week, so I’ve been Christmasing pretty much every day!
I kicked off my winter break with a slumber party with my Girl Scout troop, and I shared those details here. A favorite for sure!
I also blogged about a delicious mocktail I served at the slumber party. It is festive, easy, and perfect for a crowd – favorite!! Read the recipe here.
Another favorite this week was my day trip to Leavenworth with Chelsea and Penny. Leavenworth is a little Bavarian village just about two hours from Seattle, and it gets a total holiday makeover. I have been to Leavenworth many times, but never at Christmas, and I’m so glad we made the trip because it was so much fun! It was snowy, covered in twinkle lights, and oh, so festive. Here are some snaps from our day.
My next favorite is this Moscow Mule kit I created for a gift exchange this weekend. Just like last year, Paper Sugar LA for Target hit a homerun with their giftwrap. I picked up a red hatbox and it was the perfect vessel to fill with Moscow Mule goodies. I ordered a pair of mugs on Amazon (and they came with copper straws – woot!), and I picked up my favorite ginger beer and mini bottles of vodka. I tucked everything into the box, then topped it with some limes, and added a wooden tag (I gave it a quick stain, then used paint pens to write “cheers”) and it is ready to go!
I hope it’s a hit!! If you’re looking for some festive food gift ideas like this one, check out my post from a couple weeks ago here.
My final favorite this week is wrapping all. the. things. in time for Christmas! When I blogged about my Christmas home decor a few weeks ago (linked here), I shared that I’m crushing on the black and green color trend this season. Well, of course my wrapping paper needed to match, so I picked up a variety of papers at Target that all coordinated and it’s been so much fun wrapping gifts and coming up with unique toppings for each one.
I love to shop outside the gift wrapping section to make the packages a little more unique. My favorite addition to my gift wrap stash is leather cord. Such a classic look, right? And I’ve loved incorporating fresh greenery and/or pinecones into the ribbon, too. What’s your favorite gift wrap adornment? I’d love to hear your ideas!
Well, this post puts a wrap (pun definitely intended! ;)) on my Christmas holiday posts for the year! I’m taking most of next week off to spend time with family, but I’ll be back next Friday to share my favorite ideas for ringing in the New Year.
Merry Christmas, friends! I hope you have a wonderful holiday.
Party on!
