Friday Favorites: Birthday Week

Happy Friday! This has been an extra fun week because I celebrated my 36th birthday on Wednesday, and that’s my first favorite 🙂

I took the day off of work, and Chelsea, Penny, and I went for a hike and then out to lunch in Leavenworth. Leavenworth is a little Bavarian Village in the mountains, and it is so charming! Our hike was great, too, because we had the trail totally to ourselves and the fall colors were gorgeous.

My next favorite is the post I shared on Wednesday – 36 things about me at 36. Check it out here. I had a lot of fun writing that post and I’m excited to be 36 and for all the fun things to come this year.

Another favorite this week was celebrating Kappa Delta Founder’s Day on Monday. You can read that post here. I especially loved seeing my niece and nephew in their “A KD loves me” shirts! 🙂

And, yesterday was National Pumpkin Day, and this little pumpkin in her festive outfit is definitely a favorite!

My final favorite this week is the blog post I was asked to write for Kappa Delta on “Why Girls Matter.” I was honored that they reached out asking me to share my perspective based on the work I do for Girl Scouts. You can read that blog post here.

This weekend, I’m headed to Pullman, Washington for some Kappa Delta sorority business. It’s election season, when the new council is selected, and this weekend all the candidates are interviewing. It’s always such an inspiring time, and I’m looking forward to it.
