Hi friends, and happy Thanksgiving week! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, so I love coming up with a festive tablescape for the occasion. I was so inspired by the adorable Thanksgiving partywares Target carried this year, and I thought it’d be fun to pull some of it together to create a special kids’ table for Turkey Day. This would also be a great Friendsgiving table, if you haven’t celebrated that yet.
Here’s my haul from Target.
So cute, right?!? I especially love that little gobble gobble turkey dish. He’s been holding some festive candies all season.
My first project was to create the little turkey placecards. These could not have been more simple. Well, I guess if they came assembled, that’d be more simple, but nevertheless – so easy! And, I think they’ll be a fun keepsake for the kids to take home. Each placecard came packaged as its own little set, so you could even leave them that way and let the kids assemble them themselves for a little pre-dinner craft.
Next, I decided to go with a super simple table covering. I used white butcher paper (I got a roll from Michaels), and I’ll add crayons and stickers so the kids can decorate the table while they’re waiting to eat.
Down the center of the table, I added paper platters for food, a couple festive turkeys, some glassybaby, and leaves, and called it good. I added in the plates, napkins, and copper (OMG LOVE!) plasticware at each placesetting, and the table was done. So easy!
I was just at Target last week, and mine still had a few items left, so if you want to recreate this fun look for the kiddos at your Thanksgiving feast, hurry and get there quick!
Party on!
