Happy First Day of Spring! It has been so pretty in Seattle the last few days and I’m excited spring is here. This week on the blog, I’m getting ready for Easter. When deciding on a color scheme for our Easter table this year, I wanted to try something new. I have been drawn to the color sage lately, and I thought that would be really pretty with lilac, so that’s what I went with.
I found a great purple buffalo plaid fabric at Hobby Lobby, and I knew that would be a great foundation for the tablescape. Down the center of the table, I used a roll of moss ribbon from Michaels.
On top of the moss, I added in my purple, sage, and white glassybaby, my white ceramic bunnies (I got these as a gift years ago), and some purple and white lanterns (from Target’s dollar spot). I have a big bag of fake eggs, so I picked out the green, white, and purple ones and put those on top of some moss inside an apothecary jar.
I wanted to add some greenery, and decided on some wildflower-like bunches in purple from Michaels and put those in a tall white vase at the center of the table. I also picked up some purple butterfly stems and put those in a separate vase. In a purple julep cup, I added some purple tulips as a final accent.
For the place settings, I found some great celadon plates and striped napkins from Pottery Barn. The bunny napkin rings are from Target’s Dollar Spot last year. On top of each plate, I found some adorable white bunny plates at Hobby Lobby to use as accents. For silverware, I used some copper plasticware to add in a metallic accent.
I love how light and bright this tablescape turned out and I’m looking forward to celebrating Easter with family next weekend. Check back tomorrow for more Easter celebration inspiration.
Party on!
