This weekend, I hosted another Kamp Kappa Delta with my sorority advisor sisters. We host this retreat as an opportunity to get to know the newly elected chapter officers and help prepare them for their term. I always look forward to this weekend because we are fully immersed in our sisterhood for 24 hours, and it is truly a time to bond and learn.
We host Kamp at our local Girl Scout camp property and stay in one of the cabins there. It is a perfect cabin for our weekend because there is plenty of workspace, nice sleeping quarters, and we’re surrounded by beautiful scenery.
I repeat many of the same elements year after year, and I always try to add a little something different. Here’s what this year’s Kamp looked like…
I set up this main table with a candy bar, Kamp decor, and a s’mores bar. The color scheme I go with each year is lime green, hot pink, and lavender. These colors were chosen because they were the colors in some festive themed printables I ordered a few years ago. I found flowers in these colors at my local grocery store – what are the odds?!! I loved these little bouquets and feel like they added a lot to the decor.
Around the rest of the cabin, I added some banners and themed signs. I also put out a cell phone basket, office supplies for our work sessions, and a coffee/hot cocoa bar.
I always do some sort of gift for the group, and this year I ordered these cozy beanies for everyone. They were a huge hit!
We had a great weekend and I’m excited for the year ahead with these sisters.
