Tasty Tuesday: Valentines Krispy Treats

It’s all about Valentines Day on the blog this week! Yesterday, I shared my favorite valentines from Minted, and today it’s a super simple Valentines treat.

To be totally honest, I had a whole other idea in mind, but after a MAJOR Pinterest fail last night, I scraped that idea (literally, all the ingredients were scraped into the trash after it majorly flopped), and decided on something much easier.

So, Valentines Krispy Treats it is! Continue reading

Make it Monday: Minted Valentines

I have always loved giving valentines to friends, and I continue to do so, even as an adult because who doesn’t love love?! One of my favorite things to do when I was young was wander the valentine’s aisle at the grocery store agonizing over which valentine I’d choose.

Last year, I discovered Minted’s classroom valentine collection and they’re adorable and reasonably priced, so now I agonize online instead πŸ˜‰ And, I don’t think they have to be limited to the classroom! I give them to friends, coworkers, and my Girl Scout troop.

My pick last year was these adorable gumball valentines. Won’t chew be my valentine?

This year, Minted’s collection was another hit. So many cute options! Here are some of my favorites: Continue reading

Friday Favorites: Super Bowl Party Prep

The big game is just over a week away, so this weekend is the perfect time to get party ready. I hope my favorites this week give you some inspiration for your Super Bowl party.

My first favorite is party decor that doubles as utensil holders.

I’m happy with how these turned out, and they’ll be great year after year. I shared my process for creating them on Monday’s blog post.

A festive treat is a must for the big game, and my next favorite is Continue reading

The Best Bars in Dallas

For all my Dallas friends – this post is for you! While Chelsea and I were in Dallas for Thanksgiving, we had the opportunity to join my brother on his free-lance assignment doing write ups on several local bars for D Magazine!

The article is live on their website now, so if you live in Dallas or if you’re visiting Dallas anytime soon, you should check it out!

I love how this article divides the bars into categories, so whatever vibe you’re seeking, you can narrow down the article to exactly that.

And, if you’re still making Super Bowl party plans, there are plenty of options on this list that would be perfect spots to watch the big game!

Party on!

Make it Monday: Football Mason Jars

Now that we know who is playing in the Superbowl, it’s time to get ready to party! This year especially, I don’t particularly care which team wins, but I’m excited about the commercials, the delicious food, and, of course, the party decor!

I did a quick Pinterest search to find some fun decorations, and came across an awesome blog with adorable mason jars.

I decided I wanted to try and recreate these, so first up, I gathered all the supplies I’d need.

Here’s the list: Continue reading

Tasty Tuesday: Kiwi Avocado Smoothie

In keeping with my celebration this week of the Pantone Color of the Year, today I’m sharing the recipe for a very green kiwi avocado smoothie! Sounds weird right?! Well despite that, it’s super tasty so I encourage you to give it a try. And, for all my Whole30 friends, this recipe is Whole30 compliant even though smoothies are frowned upon (it’s preferred that you chew your food rather than drink it).

Here are the ingredients for two smoothies:

1/2 cup of spinach
2 granny smith apples
2 kiwis
1/2 cup of lime juice
1 avocado
1/2 cup of ice
1/4 cup of water

First up, I prepped the fruit. Now, am I the only one who didn’t know Continue reading

Make it Monday: Succulent Wreath

Happy Monday! I’ve had a fun day running errands and getting ready for the short week ahead. While brainstorming my blog posts for this week, I thought it’d be fun to devote them to the Pantone Color of the Year for 2017! I’ve always had a color crush on all shades of green, and I especially love Pantone’s selection for this year.

Isn’t it pretty?! I thought one easy way to celebrate greenery would be Continue reading

#tbt: Pink and Gold Wedding

One of my dear friends, Sam, is just days away from celebrating her first wedding anniversary, so I thought it’d be fun to look back at her wedding day! I had the pleasure of being her day-of coordinator and bringing her amazing vision to life. Sam was an incredibly organized bride, which made my job easy!

A few weeks before the wedding, Sam and I met to go through her binder of information (I told you, SO organized, which I loved :)). I also had a chance to tour the venue in advance and it was gorgeous! Continue reading
