Today I’m sharing the delicious cocktail we (Chelsea and me…Penny had water ;)) enjoyed during the celebration: the Lillet Rose Spring Cocktail. I found this cocktail on Martha Stewart’s website and it sounded delicious and refreshing, and it was PINK so I thought it’d be perfect.

Friday Favorites: Easter

Happy Friday! This week, I’ve been prepping for Easter and I’ve been loving all the flowers and pastels. My favorites this week are all focused on that!

My first favorite this week is the tablescape I shared on Tuesday. This tablescape is one of my most favorites that I’ve ever done. I love the lilac and sage color combo.

You can get all the tablescape details here.

On Wednesday, Continue reading

Easter: Cabbage Patch Box

Easter will be here before we know it, and today I’m sharing a quick and easy craft to add an extra touch to your Easter table! I shared my lilac and sage Easter tablescape yesterday.

You can read that post here. I felt like it needed just a little something more at each place setting for guests to take home, so I decided to make little cabbage patch boxes. I made these years ago, and was reminded of them when I found one in the bottom of my Easter decor box.

So cute, right?! So, here’s what I used to create one box. Continue reading

Tablescape Tuesday: Easter Brunch

Happy First Day of Spring! It has been so pretty in Seattle the last few days and I’m excited spring is here. This week on the blog, I’m getting ready for Easter. When deciding on a color scheme for our Easter table this year, I wanted to try something new. I have been drawn to the color sage lately, and I thought that would be really pretty with lilac, so that’s what I went with.

I found a great purple buffalo plaid fabric at Hobby Lobby, and I knew that would be a great foundation for the tablescape. Continue reading

Friday Favorites: Wreck ‘Em Tech!

Happy Friday everyone! This week I’ve been celebrating my alma mater, Texas Tech University, on the blog since we received a #3 seed ranking for the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

My first favorite this week is the Tech tablescape I shared on Monday. It is full of school spirit!

Read the details here.

My next favorite is delicious Double T Double Chocolate brownies I made to add to the tablescape.

I found some great new baking items that made creating these fun treats a breeze. At the grocery store, right next to my favorite cake mixes, I found a pre-filled pastry bag with chocolate frosting and a star tip. This made decorating so easy!

At Michaels, I discovered a whole world of amazing baking supplies in their expanded baking decorating section. Every color of the rainbow sprinkles, including special shapes! I was able to purchase small bags of red and black sprinkles ($1/each) with no leftovers. I will definitely be utilizing this section for future baking needs to get exactly what I need with little waste afterwards.

I am by no means a skilled cake/cookie decorator, but with these new tools, I feel like an expert πŸ˜‰

On Wednesday, I shared about the Texas Tech Legacy Program. This program is a great way to share my love for Texas Tech with my niece and nephew. I love these pictures my brother captured when the kids opened their welcome gifts – definitely a favorite!

Read the details here.

Another favorite is the Texas Tech Hillflint sweater Chelsea got me for Christmas. I wore it for the first time yesterday for game day! This sweater has a vintage feel and is very well made. I love it, and I know I’ll be sporting it to represent my Red Raiders for years to come.

And my final favorite of the week is the Tech WIN last night! The game was definitely exciting and I’m so happy the Red Raiders ended with a victory! On to Saturday!!

Party on!

On Fridays, I link up with Friday Favorites and Five on Friday.

Texas Tech Legacy Program

I’m celebrating all things Texas Tech this week as the men’s basketball team prepares to play Stephen F. Austin University tomorrow in Round 1 of March Madness! So, what better way to celebrate than by sharing about how my love for my alma mater can be passed on to future generations in my family through the Texas Tech Legacy Program!

Tablescape Tuesday: Texas Tech

It’s my first “Tablescape Tuesday” blog post today, and I’m really excited that it features my favorite team, Texas Tech! I got the idea for a “Tablescape Tuesday” from one of my favorite bloggers, Pizzazzerie.

I’m a huge fan of March Madness, and especially this year since Texas Tech is in the tourney.Β Texas Tech received a #3 seed, and I can’t wait to cheer them on in their first game this Thursday!!

In preparation for Thursday, I’ve been gathering all my red and black party goods, along with some of my basketball party supplies from last year’s March Madness party (get those details here).

I first layered on some white and black polka dot wrapping paper as my base. Then, Continue reading
